Our roulette tips will give you the knowledge needed to get started with the game. Pennsylvania online casinos will offer online roulette in multiple forms, and soon you can play online roulette from your home or while on the go in Pennsylvania.
Basics of Roulette
Roulette is a simple game where you’re betting on where a ball falls on a roulette wheel. A roulette wheel features red and black numbers from 1 to 36 and either one or two green zeros depending on the variant. European roulette has a single zero while American roulette has a zero and a double zero on the wheel.
There’s also a table where you can place bets. You can place bets on the numbers from the wheel plus additional bets that are dependent on the result of the spin. We will cover those bets in a bit.
A round of roulette is relatively quick. Players place their bets on the table, and then the dealer starts to spin the wheel. Finally, the dealer will throw a small white ball that will roll around the edge of the roulette wheel. Once the dealer fires the ball, no more bets will be taken. Online, betting is concluded before the wheel being spun.
After rolling around the wheel a few times, the ball will ultimately fall into one of the slots on the wheel. Afterward, any bets corresponding to where the ball landed will be paid out and the rest of the bets collected by the house.
Now that you know the basics on how to play roulette, we will now give you a roulette guide on the bets you can place.
Roulette tables consist of multiple sections. The primary section is the group of numbers from 1 to 36, and the remaining sections consist of the other forms of bets you can place on a round of roulette. Any bets placed on the section of numbers from 1 to 3 are known as inside bets. Below are the types of inside bets you can place on roulette.

Basic Tips for Playing Roulette
Below are some basic roulette tips that all beginners should follow when first playing the game. Now that you know how to play roulette, these additional tips will help you win more consistently.
Stick with Outside Bets – While inside bets pay out more, the outside bets pay out more consistently. Roulette is already a game of luck, so you can reduce the luck factor by betting outside bets which help you spread the risk a bit.
Stick with European Roulette – European roulette only has one zero on the wheel as opposed to two on American Roulette. This doesn’t sound like a big deal, but the house edge increases from 2.7 percent on European Roulette to 5.26 with American Roulette. This makes European Roulette a better option.
The only caveat to this is if a casino requires a higher minimum bet for European Roulette. If the minimum bet is significantly higher, you have to pay more for the reduced edge.
Set a Budget for Playing – Set aside a specific amount of money that you plan to wager on the game and stick to that amount only. Roulette and gambling are for entertainment, and the money should be treated as such.
Sign up for Casino Bonuses – If your online casino offers an online casino bonus, take advantage of it. It will often include a match bonus or free play chips that you can use at the roulette tables. This will allow you to play a bit more without having to make an additional deposit.
Pennsylvania online casinos will start offering online roulette in July 2019. Now that you know how to play roulette, you can enjoy the fun and excitement of roulette at PA online casinos.
